Ascent of Stepwise Ridge on 2014-03-15

|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||840 ft / 256 m|
Ascent Trip ReportRather than describe exactly how we approached this one we found out that this little summit is on the Stimpson Nature Reserve. Trailhead is on Lake Louise Drive, well marked with large parking lot. Leave trail at its high point where there is a sturdy stone bench & head NW. Easy & open woods lead along the fairly narrow ridge to the highest point in good sized timber. GPS read 850+ here when calibrated & this peak likely has 300' of prominence. We approached from Sudden Valley where one can park at the end of High Cliff Lane at a higher trailhead. Note: Dogs not permitted on trails.
