Ascent Trip Report

Parked at the end of Mountain Base Road in parking lot by the pond. Took the very direct Incline Trail along power lines up to the summit. The path was hard packed snow and slippery so thank goodness for my microspikes (they sure come in handy!). A lot of downed trees were leaning against the power lines which was a bit unnerving as you walked under them. The summit is a bunch of towers and support buildings. Walking around it felt like a video game of a military installation, I kept waiting for an alarm to sound and troops to run out! A nice quick and local afternoon hike with some decent views (especially with no leaves!).
