Ascent Trip Report

In an effort to make the most of our weekend trip to Montreal, Samantha and I were lucky enough to fit in a hike with grandpa up to the summit at Pain de Sucre on a beautiful Monday morning. It was a fantastic day to be outside and the trails were fun to hike when covered with the snow provided from the recent snowfall. I'm told that typically crampons are required for this hike due to the trails being iced over. The view from the summit was amazing, crystal clear sky and views to downtown Montreal. The air almost feels more clear in the winter - must be due to the lack of moisture in the air from the cold temperatures. We then stopped at a McDo on the way out of town for a very memorable day involving a peak. I'm happy to be making an entry here and I'll look forward to using this as motivation to add more this year.
