Ascent Trip Report

A nice winter hike and got to try out my new Kahtoola Microspikes, they worked great! The trails where in good condition but there was some ice and hard packed snow, so the spikes were a great help!
We parked off of Deerfield road by Catamont Pond in the Bear Brook State Park parking lot. Took the One Mile Trail, more like a groomed road, up to Catamont Hill Trail. This led up and over Catamont Hill to the Cascade Trail which we took up and over what I'm calling Catamont Minor and down to Sentinel Trail. This finished back at One Mile Trail which completed the loop. There were a few nice lookouts on Catamont but with no leaves one the trees you could get a nice view for long stretches of the hike. A nice area and local hike!
