Ascent Trip Report

Hiked from Wheeler Pass. The turnoff is signed on Hwy 160. The gravel road is well maintained for the first 10 miles to a fork in the road. You must fork left and drive another 10 miles to Wheeler Pass. The road deteriorated quite a bit on this stretch, but any high clearance vehicle with decent tires should be fine. The hike was short and steep with some very minor class 3 sections that could be avoided by going around. There was a large cairn on the summit but no register to be found. However, there was a register on the sub peak just NW of Willow, but it was wet and ruined. Overall, long drive but an awesome route.
