Ascent Trip Report

Castle Rock is a nice hike on a good trail all the way to the summit with great views. I accessed Castle Rock from Hwy 126 and turned towards Cougar Dam. After crossing the green bridge, I continued straight for about .5 mile and then turned left on King Rd. In another .5 mile I turned right on Oleary Road FR 2639-480. There is some active logging along this road and I had to move over for log trucks. I stayed on this main road 6 miles to where it ends at the trailhead. Good road all the way to the trailhead. Nice views of the Sisters.
