Ascent Trip Report Did this as an 'after work' hike. Went up at fairly fast pace reaching the top in exactly 2 hours, half hour before sunset. Beautiful light on Baker & Twin Sisters which were pure white with snow. I had only a dusting of snow at the top though it was quite cold, perhaps 20 deg.F.
Started down, taking lots of pictures with a nice sunset over San Juan Islands and Olympic mountains & Glacier Peak. Nice after-sunset views to Lake Whatcom & Bellingham along the flat stretch. Used a headlamp the last 20 minutes, my 4th trip on this one as a sunset hike. Great conditioner & I like having sun a good part of the way up. The clearcuts & powerlines are a big negative though.
