Ascent Trip ReportFun drive back into the holler. The white house on the crest of the road that the CoHPers use as a landmark is 3.0 miles from the Covered bridge, by my rental car's odometer. If you are heading steeply downhill, you passed it. The house was not occupied, as far as I could tell. There are two routes, both of which start to the left (facing) of the house. There is a two track that a 4x4 or high clearance 4WD vehicle could drive, or a nice grassy path a bit closer to the house. Highpoint has some old fence and an old TV antenna.
Regrettably, I must have walked right past the old cemetery. Never saw it. I had no signal back there, so I didn't have a topo (was using my phone GPS).
