Ascent Trip Report

Ascent of Waumbek to Cabot via Kilkenny Ridge, including minor peaks. Total trip is like 21.4 miles from Starr King Road to Terrace Mountain to Cabot to Unknown Pond to York Road, including The Horn. Total of like 8000 vertical gain, which is really not much at all for like 7 mountains and 20 miles.

To get to the start, go to Starr King road and go to the top. Road is the first one on the right after the 30mph sign.

Climb the trail to Waumbek, which is the biggest climb of the trip; there is a great view just past the summit of Starr King. After going over the rolling Weeks Mountains, there is a pretty cool little camping area at the base of Terrace Mountain.

Terrace Mountain has some solid views.

Cabot has like a little log hanging out near the top. The actual top is like .25 miles past it.

Bulge is Bulgy. The Horn is the best view past Starr King. Unknown Pond is super cool. Trail from Unknown Pond is easy.

We saw a moose on Weeks Mountain! Yaaaay moose.
