Ascent Trip ReportPaul McClellan and I set out from the Hurricane Creek TH at 5am. The weather deteriorated until we were firmly in the grasp of an early fall snow storm. We toughed it out and marched up to Legore Lake to meet with Troy Baker who camped overnight and intended to assist us after summiting the prior evening. We chatted with Troy at Legore Lake hoping the weather might break but it wasn't cooperating so anyway, it was snowing, blowing and the ridgeline is not a great place to be even when the weather is nice so we hightailed it back to TH along with Troy. So Twin Peaks that's strike 2, see you again in a year or two. |
