Ascent Trip ReportI hiked Mount Flume for the Flags on the 48 (with Team Hike-NH) on 9/14/2013.
The Lincoln Woods Trail was wide and very easy all the way to the Osseo Trail. From there, that trail was generally moderate, with some steep parts with ladders. At the downlook, it was mostly socked-in. From there, we eventually entered the clouds, with small peeks of blue sky.
We soon reached the summit of Flume at 10:30. We got the flag up by 11, and I stayed to man the flag with two others while the rest of the group went to Flume. The summit became very crowded, and two groups were making Italian sandwiches and kielbasa; it was the "4K cookoff." Soon, the remainder of the group returned, and we got the flag down at 2:30, and then headed back down.
