Ascent Trip Report

Left Witney Portal on 22nd of Sept 2013 at 7h30 am with 33F. Hiked solo with a 63 pound bag. Reached Trail Camp at 16h. Set up camp. Night was probably at 40 F, no wind. Better than previous night which had seen snow. There was only traces of snow between rocks, and it was not a worry at all on this trip.
Left on the 23rd at 3h30 am. Hiked with the moon without opening the headlamp. Precious! Reached the summit at 11h, enjoyed the highest continental spot in the US for 50 minutes and headed back down. Reached Trail Camp again at 14h30, took a nap and un-camped. Left Trail Camp at 16h15, reached the trail head at 20h, this time with a headlamp. Actually will purchase a stronger headlamp for the next outhings!!
A good time!
