Ascent Trip ReportClimbed with a buddy of mine and his brother. The hike was surprisingly easy except for the last half mile or so, which was extremely steep. The overall ascent is 1240 ft and I think about 900 feet of that comes in that last 0.5 mi push toward the summit. It's a very odd trail. I think in the middle of the hike, we'd noticed that we were at a lower altitude than the trail head. But excellent views at the summit of the Great Range as well as Lake Placid and the Saranac Lakes. |
