Ascent Trip Report

Hiked via the most popular route via the trailhead at intersection of Navajo Rd and Golfcrest Dr. Parking is hard to come by even very early in the morning but lucked out along the opposite side of the street (second closest possible). Started the hike about 7:40am with a marine layer starting to burn off. There is a constant flow of people to the summit. Reached the summit in about 36 minutes with two short water stops due to the mid 80's temps. Continued on along the Pyle's Peak Trail. Returned the same route back to Cowles Mtn summit then back to the trailhead. I made an effort to thank the people who were picking up trash and dog waste left behind by others. Even with the warm temps and additional 3 miles, 1 30oz water bottle was suffice.
