Ascent Trip ReportAKA Hidden Peak.
We climbed up from Aneroid Lake. Steep grass slopes. See my Aneroid review for more on the base climb.
From Aneroid we traversed back across the ridge close to the place where we emerged from the trees on the West Ridge of Hidden Peak. Fromt here we headed up the North Ridge until we were near the summit, then we headed over to the East side for the final 200 feet. Easy climb, fun. What a view. It is not hard to do Aneroid and Hidden in the same day. We elected to leave East for the next day as my mother was coming to Wallowa specifically to do the Tram ride, but we would have knocked out East while we were there if our schedule had been different. |
