Ascent Trip ReportSunny Day. Derek Standen and I drove 66 kilometres of dirt road with our 4 X 4 to close in on the peak location. We crossed 3 washouts and passed the Mt. Baldy Fire Lookout Tower on our way in. Once our vehicle was parked, we then bushwacked approximately 2.5 kilometres N/NW to the summit. There was one minor swamp crossing and various bear and moose droppings along the way, some of which were fresh. There were plenty of Blueberries on the south slope. Once on the summitt, there was a great view to the south and to the east, however, no view of the west or north, at least from where we were situated. We could see the Austin Lake Fire Tower in a distance to the south. GPS recorded 2148' at the summit.
