Ascent Trip ReportOur ascent to the summit of Mount Marcy began from the Adirondack Loj via the Van Hoevenberg trail at approximately 1100hrs on June 22 2013. We hiked about 6 miles in 6hrs carrying 45lbs packs and taking frequent breaks before stopping to camp for the night. The next morning we left our packs at our campsite and did the final 1.5 miles in an hour. After hanging out on the summit for a little while we started our decent. It took us an hour to get back to our campsite. From the campsite it took 82 minutes to get back to the Adirondack Loj completing my first mountain.
