Ascent Trip Report

See Horse Rock which was done on same trip for details on Woody Ridge Trail. The Black Mtn. Crest Trail does not cross the summit of Gibbs Mountain. It is a short (400 ft.) vicious bushwack to summit. I started bushwack at about 0.4 miles south from the junction of the Woody Ridge and Black Mtn. Crest trails. The Black Mountain Crest Trail is grown in but easy to follow. No views from the summit; too thick.
