Ascent Trip Report

Started at Col de Tentes, then up to Refuge de Sarradets. Got chased back to refuge by lightning strikes on the peaks above. Crossed the Brecha de Rolando and then on to Refugio de Goriz with passing showers.

Electrical storms kept the rest of the day interesting.
Big tasty dinner at Goriz then an early night. It's worth booking ahead, as the next night the hut was full.

Up the track to Lago Helado then up steepening snow slopes to the summit ridge. Hail showers and no view thanks to pea soup clag. Back to the hut and then a speedy hike out to the Bujaruelo.

There were several other small parties, one larger group roped up and another person out solo.
