Ascent Trip ReportPicked a HOT day to finish the county high-points of New Jersey. Brought plenty of water and parked at a pull-out at the corner of Mountain Road and Stag Hill Road. I had the GPS track from Greg Slayden printed out, so it was easy navigating. The one confusing part is the Gas Pipeline right of way and the atv trail to Bald Mountain parallel for a short distance. When you see the atv trail head Northwest, follow it. The highpoint seemed south of the radio towers. From Bald Mountain, I followed the trails/atv trails to Herman Hill, and Drag Hill.
Note that this area was pretty trashy. There were abandoned cars along the pipeline right of way, and the two stone house ruins looked like they were hangouts, judging by the massive amounts of trash. Probably not a place you want to be at night.
