Ascent Trip Report(Day 4) Tuesday morning we left camp set up and traversed over to Remmel, following an easy trail all the way to summit, which had a fire lookout on top, built in the early 30's. Left camp at 5:20am and made the summit at 7am. Stayed on top for 20 minutes and made it back camp at 8:40am. Left camp at 9:30am and made the junction with the Chewuck River double log (make shift wash out repair) crossing. As we were pumping water we saw a huge moose charge up the river only 20 feet away, lucky the dogs didn't see it. A hot hike back to the TH and an even hotter drive through Tonasket/Omak, 105 degrees! Plus we had that wonderful 6+ hour drive home.
