Ascent Trip ReportCame here from Baldy MT. Traversed the Baldy Ridge and then dropped down into Finney Basin just northeast of the biggest lake. Then to the upper lake and up to the north ridge of Finney. Dropped down to the west side of the pass and I ascended the big gully just below the west ridge. A lot of folks take the easier west ridge to the summit. Gully has a mix of rocks from big and stable to loose talus and ankle rollers. The west most highpoint is the highest, despite what the topo wants to say. I dropped down via the west ridge and retraced my steps into the basin. |
