Ascent Trip ReportTo get to where we started hiking, we took the dirt road that heads southeast from Jacks Creek Summit northwest of the peak. That road is in good shape but extremely steep up the initial slope. After that, the road becomes quite tolerable until it levels around 8800'.
The terrain was fairly open and had decent footing for most of the trip. Our biggest issue was heat (we hiked it during a heat wave), so a couple of snow patches were life savers. Great views at the summit!
