Ascent Trip Report

Jimmy and I left around 5:15am from Diaz de la Madrid con Mariscal Sucre. We followed the route I describe in a previous ascent.

From the ridge at 4100m, we had a fantastic panorama in the rising sun, and could spot most summits around: Cotacachi, Imbaburra, Cayambe, Antisana, Sincholagua, Pasochoa, Cotopaxi, Rumiñahui, Chimborazo, Corrazon, Illiniza Sur and Norte. We reached the summit at around 10:45am.

On the way back, we met the first climbers, coming in from the cable car. We arrived back at the teleferico at 12:30pm.
