Ascent Trip Report

Climbed Molo Mt in memory of my 62nd dad's birthday, God bless his soul. Molo is not well known but presents a formidable challenge when climbed through the steep chutes in Soda Canyon. I hiked in for 1 day after a long drive from the Bay. To my surprise no one was on the trail and I saw my first bear of the year. The hike up to Soda Canyon quickly turned into bushwhacking and the chute up was steeper than expected. I made it back to my camp near the Kennedy Creek before the thunderstorms were raging all night and hiked out on the 3rd day while it was raining and snowing.
