Ascent Trip ReportStayed at campground at Middle Fork of Buffalo Creek. Easy one hour hike/bushwacking up ridge from campground to high point. No trail, but eventually you will see the remanants of the old road near the peak. Great view!!! Can See Warbonnet and Laramie Peak to the south east, Ferris Mountain, Green Mountain, all of the Winds, Washakie Needles, Franks Peak, Trout Peak, Cedar and Rattlesnake, Heart Mountain, Pilot and Index, Red Lodge Mountain, Prior Mountains, Cloud Peak and I think Granite Peak in Montana but it was pretty faint due to a slight haze. |
