Ascent of House Mountain on 2008-06-14
|Date:||Saturday, June 14, 2008|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||2080 ft / 633 m|
Ascent Trip ReportThe ascent is fairly steep for a low-level hike, but nothing approaching a scramble. There are two trails that ascend to an old 4WD road along the crest-- the Mountain Trail ascends the middle of the mountain, and the West Overlook Trail ascends the western slope. There are 180-degree overlooks at each end of the crest trail. The corner foundations of the old firetower remain, although there is little else at the summit.
