| Location:||USA-North Carolina/Tennessee|
| Elevation:||6370 ft / 1941 m|
Ascent Trip ReportCar camped at Cosby campground GSMNP. Done as part of climb of Mt. Guyot also. Very thick bushwhack on top of Old Black. Found a cairn after looking around through some thick bushes. Cairn was beside the roots of an uprooted tree and hidden except from east. Best to take a SW approach when starting bushwhack from AT and climb to obvious high point and start looking around for summit cairn. Heading due east from AT runs you into thicker brush.
