Ascent Trip Report

A shuttle brings you up to an elevator in the mountain. The elevator goes up 124m and right into the Eagles Nest. This was a vacation home for Hitler during WWII, now it is a restaurant and tourist location. From the Eagle's Nest it is a short walk up to the summit with some amazing views of the Bavarian Alps! My wife and I went here as part of our European backpacking honeymoon trip!
