Ascent Trip ReportWent back to the Les Centennaires trail after a spectacular trip of last fall. We hiked up the north sub-summit of Montagne de la Vache Noire; I carried our three-month old daughter up in a baby carrier - she seemed to enjoy the trip and slept for a stretch of it. Afterwards, I went solo, baby-free, for a trail run up to the main summit, but misjudged the time and distance. It's a very rocky, bouldery trail and going is slow, much slower than on the initial 4km. I made it just below the peak's summit, to the 6km mark. Turned back due to time concerns mostly; it was going to be a slow hike down with the baby.
Overall, another very enjoyable day in the Laurentians.
