Ascent Trip Report

For the most part this was a decent hike. The ascent up and around raimner (which i did last year or so) was the most blood pumping ascent, and its very short and not bad. Once you get past that it is a walk downhill off of raimner and flat all the way to berlin. The trail gets pretty nice after decending the back of Raimner near Berlin Pass. The ascent up Berlin is gradual. The summit is ass ugly, it is the ugliest summit i have ever seen in fact. It is a large, round summit with a piece of stone and rebard in middle and alot of glass. But, the views are very nice, of Greylock, Equinox and the windmills all over the place out there. The ascent back up Raimner isnt bad and again quite scenic in parts. On the decent saw an older guy with his half naked woman from MA climbing up in a bra. Made small talk with him but was ackward not pointing out his half naked woman situation. At the trailhead there was a bunch of harley davidson bikers hanging out by my Prius, which was wierd.
