Ascent Trip ReportAT DAY # 54 --- 2ND FALL OF THE TRIP---
Left War Spur shelter at 7:00 hrs, spit off and on all day, light rain with abt 1 hr to go, put on my poncho, saw 6 deer.
Some open field trails, numerous stiles, for the most part trail very poor with lot of MUDS and rocky slabs - especially on Sinking Creek Mtn where I SLIPPED BACKWARDS, as I was descending on rocks, I knew of the slip as I stepped on the rock. Minor scratches & bumps, a real dad one just below my right elbow. This is my 2nd fall, the 1st was on Roan mtn.
The new socks (merino wool) of this AM, slid down, will go back to the old ones. Crotch rash getting worse, will try new underwear tomorrow. Rash behind left heel, at top of boot, needs protection.
