Ascent Trip Report

DAY #63 .... Cow Camp Gap shelter to The Priest shelter, side trip to Rocky Mountain.

Cool morning, overcast with sun, left shelter ahead of others. The ridge of Cole Mountain is open grass with good views, took a side trip to Rocky Mountain (Wiggins Spring road), moderate T, moved good, easy day as I didn't sweat much which is unusual for me. Didn't see a sole today.
16h30 hours I arrived shelter. Dan (who teaches at a seminar in Richmond Ind) and son Jonathon already in. No one has seen the Eagle.
I was already in my bag when Mike arrived at 19h30 hours, yesterday he went into Buena Vista and this morning he got dropped off at US60 for a 21 mile day, twisted his ankle in the process ..... I'm one that does not like getting in late, I want to be in my bag by 20h00 hours.
