Ascent Trip ReportTook the roadway from Elkins to Marlinton and pulled over at Mine Road. This road is in excellent shape all the way to the top. This is a nice hiking area with many trails, excellent signed gravel roads (forest roads) and reasonable grades. I had little time for a long hike as I needed to open Mark's cabin and buy groceries and I had already captured 2 peaks over 4500 feet that morning.
I parked at a known benchmark and hiked up the trail to the towers at the top. No views!. It was 39F when I left and warmed to 44 F when I got down.
I left at 1:20 and was down at 2:00 PM
