Ascent Trip Report

It is lots of fun exploring all the big boulders up here. I started at Piedras Pintadas off Poblado Rd and then went west towards the utility pole road. You can follow several informal paths up the steep wash on the east side of the peak, then easily cross country down the southwestern side. You eventually come to an old dirt road that takes you past an antique Aermotor Windmill Co. water pumping system (sounds really cool when the wind is blowing). You can take this road back towards the fence that separates the utility pole acces road and there is an opening to the north so that you may return to the Piedras Pintadas trail.
