Ascent Trip ReportParking at Haystack road parking. North Twin trail, on this trail met Kyle a nice guy from Boston who was hiking to Guyot camping ground. I had a 40 lbs packing with all my first responder kit and 4 liters of water. Very hot day. It was 30 celsius at Galehead hut on mountain top. Reached North Twin Mtn , then North Twin spur to South Twin Mtn, twinway to Galehead hut were I took a long break (say 45 minutes) and refill water and eat. Very hot day. Then hiked to nearby Galehaed Mtn. Came back to twin way then took Gale River trail to parker at River Loop road. Then walk on the road from that parking to the Haystack road, the road is for the first half a good road, but the second hald it is almost like bushwalking, it is completely covered with high grass. Saw a trail going into the woods to Haystack Mountain but did not go because I was tired, the day was very hot and I was running out of water with a heavy backpack. It was a very solitary road. i met no one. Reached Haystack road and walked 2.5 miles on it to the parking. Another marvelous day, but I must admit, very demanding. I had to drink a lot of water, about 8 liters to stay hydrated.
