We parked at the Dante's View parking lot in Death Valley. There is a maintained trail heading out north for a short distance which changes to an unmaintained trail. The route follows the ridge line north from Dante's view to Mount Perry. The vertical gain is deceiving. Total ascent or gross elevation gain is 2681 ft.
