Tassajara Rd is a slow, one-lane dirt road, but no problems in a sedan. Where Chews Ridge Rd interesects from the left, there is a parking area. From here, it's an easy 10-min walk first to an old lookout tower, then to Chews Ridge. Nice views, especialy to the N and W.
