Ascent Trip ReportSingle-day trip with Susan and Abby. From Hidden Forest using the ridge route above Wiregrass Spring. Patchy snow in the canyon, clear on southfacing slopes, some deeper patches on final summit ascent (postholing to knee). Beautiful summit conditions under partly cloudy skies. Great visibility, no wind, very quiet. Very scenic hike, with spectacular rock formations in the canyon and along the ridges, and very expansive and beautiful views that change as you ascend. |
