Ascent Trip Report

Cold. Temperature at start was approximately 20 degrees, and it didn't really warm up much during the trip. The summit was breezy, as they usually are, and at 1:00 p.m. it was still in the low 20s. I took the north ridge line instead of the standard route, which put me in the path of three major bumps on the north ridge, with a little elevation loss to the saddle between them and the real summit. The ridge was very steep and very loose. The last 200' or so were up mostly class 3 limestone. Good, solid rock. The descent was steep and loose as well, until I made the wash, which was merely rocky with the occasional dry fall to down climb.
