Ascent Trip Report

Recent Bizare weather of snow in april (even in the lowlands) created a fun day of hiking on a thin level of snow covering ice underneath. The climb was frustrating as for my group was not as prepared as some for these slippery conditions. We learned quickly that a pair of crampons or FastTracks would have been really nice for extra grip on the soles of our hiking boots. The weather changed rapidly, as to be expected, from calm and foggy to dense snow to clearing up and even seeing a few breaks of sun. The view wasn't remarkable due to the weather conditions but the hike was an exciting start for my 2008 climbing season.
