Ascent Trip ReportCraig's report is good and all you need. I don't have any further notes on the southern 267' point. I found Craig's dirt mound and also bushwhacked in various directions from the intersection. Thorny.
If you're here, you should definitely check out Point 266. I don't have any idea if it's actually a contender (though it likely is), but at least it's slightly more interesting. I went in from the north at the gate at the curve on Point Wilson Rd. (The curve is signed for 15mph and the gate is obvious.) It is currently signed by the Manke Lumber Company as closed until further notice for hunting and recreation due to extreme fire danger. (At this time of year it should read extreme(ly low) fire danger.) The road heads east then turns south and heads right to Point 266, at or near a logging road junction. Bushwhacking here is not terribly thorny.
I didn't see anyone at either point. There were signs of fairly recent visitation at 266' - tire tracks and orange peels.
