Ascent Trip ReportAs Bob Burd noted in his trip report from 2009, Escapula Peak was the only named peak in the San Emigdio Range that he did not have. Same for me, so I took Aidan, his sister Kayla, his brother Eli, and Blue the dog out for it. Nice hike, former dirt road to the summit was easy enough to follow once you turn off the main road (9N19, which is the approach road for Antimony Peak). We hiked from the winter closure gate on 9N19. It snowed a bit on the ascent then turned sunny on the descent.
