Ascent Trip Report

Hike with Ron Moe, 5.5 hrs R/T from Poison Spring. Perfect weather. Generally followed Bob Sumner's directions. Many good user and game trails.

Gates were open and we left them as we found them (Nevada protocol is to ALWAYS leave a gate as you found it)
At the 1st saddle, brushwack up to the second saddle rather than going down and then back up the steep road.
At the second saddle at about 8800', locate rock cairn leading to a fairly well-defined trail around the east side of the 1st hill to the ridge top rather than going over the top.
On return, we brushwacked from 8800' to the saddle at 8240'.
