Ascent Trip Report

Bald Knob is a half-mile round trip hike from the Blue Ridge Parkway at the same trailhead as The Pinnacle. There's no trail. It's not a difficult bushwhack, but you'll be glad you wore long pants. Along the ridgeline, remnants of a barbed-wire fence mark the boundary of the Asheville watershed. To avoid trespassing you should stay on the Parkway side of the fence line. A large boulder marks the HP. The bald is overgrown and there are no views.
