Ascent Trip ReportWe spent Friday night at Wildrose Campground. Early the next morning, we drove up to the Charcoal Kilns, parked, and then hoofed it up the road to the Mahogany Flat TH to begin the hike. The hike was fantastic. It was cold and breezy but I was happy to get to the top. I remember a spectacular sunset, pastel colors on the Funeral Mtns across Death Valley, just as we were getting back to Arcane Meadows. We walked back down the road to the car under moonlight. |
