Ascent of Granite Chief on 2011-08-06Date: | Saturday, August 6, 2011 | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | Peak: | Granite Chief | Location: | USA-California | Elevation: | 9006 ft / 2745 m |
Ascent Trip ReportDid the Squaw Mountain Run and wanted to get the most out of the included tram ride, so changed clothes and bagged Granite Chief and Needle Peak. Did'nt know Lyon Peak was an OGUL, but eas running out of time anyway. Cut cross down to the Western States trail and got into lots of snow. Was on and off trail, but headed for Immigrant peak and got out in time to take a crowded touristy tram ride down. Hope I stunk. |
