Ascent Trip ReportAfter two White Mountain hikes ended in me turning back, I decided to go hike Red Hill, which I needed for my Fire Tower Quest.
Upon reaching the trailhead on Red Hill Rd, I looked at the kiosk and then got going on the Red Hill Trail.
The trail followed old dirt roads all the way to the summit. After about 0.2 mi, the trail turned right, and then went over a bridge to turn left after a fence.
This part ascended through thin woods at a constant grade to eventually reach another kiosk and the fire tower.
The views were great! I could see Mount Chocorua, the Ossipee Range, and other things. I then went to the ground and ate a sandwich before descending.
