Ascent Trip Report

An overnight backpack to two nice peaks in the SGWA. Day one saw us head up the San Bernardino Peak Divide Trail to Limber Pines Bench Camp. We set up and got water from a spring just up the trail. Day one mileage was around 5 1/2 miles, ~3350' gain. Saw a stunning sunset looking off the side of the mountain from the camp site.

Got up early the next morning to a crisp near-freezing day. Headed off past the Washington Monument, and then hit San Bernardino, and then San Bernardino East. Mileage to the two peaks was about 6 miles rt and ~1500' gain.

We then packed up and headed back out.
