Ascent Trip Report

I climbed South Peak with Mike Berry. We left the saddle between Mt. Olsen and South Peak heading up a steep scree slope. The climb from the saddle is about 500 feet of class 2 and class 3 terrain. The summit has great views of the Virginia Lakes area. The view to the east is dominated by Mono Lake. This peak can be done with Mt. Olsen and Black Mountain to get 3 peaks in one day.
